Foxtel in the process of being sold

The Murdoch era is coming to a close.

Looks like Foxtel will be sold.

My question is:

How will the former Super League clubs fare once the Murdoch family no longer influence the game administratively ?

Hopefully, under a new owner for Foxtel, I think the clubs that aligned themselves to the ARL during the Super League war will fair better than they have under Murdoch

I have a feeling that one or two members of the family (republicans) will buy the shares owned by the others who want to sell their shares.

It will be a seemless transfer of share ownership between siblings of the Murdoch Family. So, no notable changes to what we have now.

Wouldn't it be great if they bought out WIN TV simultaneously? With Twiggy and the Murdochs, the Dragons could breathe fire and return to the results of the good old days (50s and 60s).

Dragsters, you get it through Kayo?
Pretty reasonable price through them although not quite as good as the Foxtel model.
I'm still forking out for full freight Foxtel Platinum with UHD.

The ability to record FTA and foxtel programmes and fast forward through ads works for me.

Not sure how long I will persist though particularly if there are fee hikes or quality drops with the new ownership...

Yeah I was on Foxtel until about 12 months ago.
Initially I found Kayo a bit clunky but now I’m totally used to it.

O was going to dump Foxtel many times over the last few years but never quite succeeded.

I just upgraded my tv’s etc and with all the new technology available decided I would finally cancel Foxtel.

I am on the package including NETFLIX like you which was normally circa $140/month but having whinged about costs the last few year I had paid $99/month

So telling them I was now leaving after 20+ years they offered me $74/month to stay.

I’m still cancelling mine but they have now transferred my new late rate offer to our sons account.

So there are deals to be done if you push hard enough.
