10 Borlin St.Gaudens
11 Fakir UTC
12 Raguin Toulouse
13 Dulac St.Gaudens
Replacements from Pramil Carcassonne, Carrasco Limoux, Coulibaly St.Gaudens.
These sixteen players will attend a three day training session in Toulouse next Monday before flying out to the Russian capital the following Wednesday.
Maxime Greseque & Fred Zitter both presently involved at Featherstone & Wakefields Olivier Elima could yet be included depending on availability pending their clubs involvement in the play offs beyond this weekend.
Much interest will centre on the new mangement team headed now by the Australian Mick Aldous but still involving the former coach Gilles Duma & Patrick Pedrazzani. On the field much will be expected of the second row combination of Raguin - a lumbering yet agile man with good hands - and Fakir who's powerful running & athleticism make him France's present standout performer.
Before the ENC however the French Espoirs will be in action in the Lebanon from this weekend in the Mediteranean Cup with three games against Morocco, Serbia & Lebanon. Here the interest could well centre on the new young hopefuls FCL's prop Remi Casty, now committed to the Corbieres for 2005 & the Catalans Gregory Mounis - a strong powerful half & a rugged prop with a great step Sebastein Martins - all three could yet line up for Perpignan SL by 2006 and be the corner stone of the Tricolores for the WC in Sydney in 2008.
