oooh, egg on my face but it's never been a better look! France were a thing of beauty tonight.
The crispness of passing between Ronaldo (I'm calling him that from now on as he's such a star) and Greseque at first receiver, and Moli at second when he chose to get involved, was sublime. Even the donkey James Wynn put in a killer cutout pass leading to the sublime final French try - just one of many sublime tries in a 40-16 victory (from memory could be something slightly different).
France were a sexy outfit tonight, and even though they tired towards the end and lost their shape and concentration they were worthy winners by a big margin.
Can't remember the sequence of scoring but Anselme's try was vintage RL: a nice offload from a stepping prop (or it might have been to Carrasco, one of my favourite French players) to Greseque through a gap to the fulback, switch back inside to Greseque again who slipped a quick ball to Anselme to score.
Ronaldo scored a good try after more expansive build up work and Stacul's first, France's second, followed a classic passing movement from 9 to 7 to 6 - wonderful.
I'm glad I watched that and not GB v NZ.
