Bunch of top seeds/big names out already in the first two rounds.

From the Men's: Wawrinka (3), Nishikori (9)
From the Women's: Williams (1), Li Na (2), Lisicki (16), Venus Williams (29)

Unfortunately I'm quite busy with Uni at the moment so I've barely been able to watch any of it so far.

Did just catch Matosevic squandering a 40 - 0 lead in Murray's service game though.

Ernest Gulbis speaks the truth about tennis (and rugby league TBH)

“For sure, it’s too much [civility]. I respect them. Great for them. Everything works for somebody. But I miss some fire. I miss some fire that people have in boxing or basketball or hockey. People like it and it makes it more competitive. Here, it’s like, ‘He did a great game and I was a little bit better.’ No. It’s bullsh*t. ‘Sh*t, I won the match, I kicked his arse, he was worse than me, that’s it, go home.’ That’s the attitude tennis is missing.”

Match between Rafa and Ferrer should be a cracker too

Rafa destroyed him after dropping the first set.

Go Bouchard tonight.

Like Murray, Sharapova has been all over the shop. One moment she's dropping sets the next she's winning them in landslides. So who the f**k knows. Hopefully she loses the plot for two sets in a row this time.

So that went pretty much as I expected. Bouchard should have won the 2nd set though, squandered several opportunities.

Yes - she kind of reminds me on how Sharapova was earlier on in her career. Hopefully she'll work on these little errors and fix them up over the coming years. Also not to be too complacent - that's a mistake that Hingis used to make over the years too.

Reminds me more of Azarenka early in her career. Elite world class backhand but a little error prone on the forehand. The positive is despite these weaknesses she will be number 11 or 12 in the world. She needs to work on her net play so I am glad she has agreed to play some doubles at the grass event starting next week.

It was Murray, he dropped 2 sets to the clown, aka Gael Monfils...and 2 sets to Kohscreiber who couldn't play on clay even if you asked him! Will be a ripper of a Final. I favour Rafa but Novak winning wouldn't surprise me though!

Nadal wins his 9th French Open. Up to 14 total now. Getting more likely he will finish with more than the Fed.

The way he is going on the clay, he might catch Fed on French Opens alone....as close to unbeatable as any team / sportsman I've ever seen in regards to Nadal playing at the French Open.

Very disappointing final, really. That said, well done to Nadal. It's his house.

66-1 record at Roland Garros and that one loss was when he was injured. Greatest clay courtier we will ever see and should easily go past Fed in grand slam wins.

Yeah it wasn't of the greatest quality. Both players were pretty exhausted though.
