FRENCH RUGBY LEAGUE?

Why do you want that every day in France we speak or write English ?
moreover, the French language is an international language;
Spanish also, Chinese or Arab will be.

The French do efforts to learn English, why not you to learn French ?

I don't learn French because France is a country on the other side of the planet..... BUT.... If I ever went to France I would learn some of the basic words "hello" "good morning" etc

The Super League website also needs a French translation for french fans of rugby league.

I also speak, read and write Indonesian. I have even lived and studied at university level in Indonesia. It has a population of over 250 million people and is next door to us.

You do hint at something though... many native English speakers don't study other languages at a high level. In Australia it is not that useful for us to learn European languages. It is better for us to learn Asian languages and more and more Australian school kids are doing this.

I'm thinking about learning a third language.... don't yet know which language..

Well they say once you know 2 languages, then learning a 3rd is very easy.

Unfortunately all I know is English and a little Spanish, so I have a long way to go.

I haven't been to France yet, but I am told many of them wont speak to you if you try to talk to them firstly in English. If you give French a go, the locals will often realise you speak English and then speak back to you in English.

It would be great if the SL had a French section on their website. Hopefully they will have it by the time UTC join the comp next year.

Again it shows the subjectiveness of the languages.

Arabic is not a big deal here, but it is widely spoken in of course the middle east and north africa (which many emigrants are in France), as well as the language of the Koran.

Indonesian, which is also essentially Malaysian, is spoken by about 250 million people. Geography included, it is a language whic would indicate has greater priority than Arabic, or just about all European languages.
