Don't miss this. For a band of considerable age they still rip sh*t up, as evidenced on their last album Forever Malcolm Young (Shock). In the olden days you could see them every second week. Not anymore. Frenzal will NOT be touring in 2008 so you'd better go to these shows or you'll be suffering by the time 2009 rolls around. At least we didn't do a John Farnham and tell you this is the last one. It probably isn't…
No shows all of next year so this seems like the show to be at, ive got my ticket for the metro already:)
Just to add to that You Am I thread really, the 'it probably isnt' worries me that the end is nigh for one of the finest bands this country has produced and my favourite band of all time. This will be an absolute ripper of a show

legendary band. i went to a show once where it was about a year since their run on having hits on rage and playing at the arias had come to an end. they were playing with an emerging hardcore band and a local gold coast street punk band that had a bit of a following. anyway some f**khead had some issue with jay and thru a bottle at his head, fully cutting up his face. he went off stage for a bit, gordy challenged the guy to a fight lol the guy got thrown out, jay came back out blood dripping down face and all and finished the show. thats a true rock band right there!

mate ...I remember having a go a some tool behind me for bagging out Silverchair.
They were only kids and doing a fugging great job.
It was when Frogstomp first came out.

Rhomb had been around a little while at this stage and it was the first time I had seen them.
I was very very impressed...they write very cleverly constructed songs.
Yeah punk or whatever but not at all depressing and boring.

I also remember being at Homebake a few years ago when they broadcast the greyhounds over the PA during Rhombs set.
The dog called Frenzal Rhomb was running ....it won!
funny stuff1

In hindsight it sounds like a ssshetup Kenny.

That is a while ago, was ben still in the band or lindsay?
That was the year before i went ot homebake, 99 it must've been. At the 2000 homebake they had pinjatas of the opera house and a koala bear and they were all in newtown jerseys

I first saw frenzal when they toured regional queensland in about 97 with Grinspoon.. Later i saw them in a club in Rockhampton with Banther Fodder and Toe to Toe, that was an awesome awesome gig.. All three bands were fantastic and while the first two were on Jay was out with us drinking Bourbon and coke out of sandbuckets...It was uni student Tuesday night, for approx $30 we got the three bands and a never ending sandbucket of spirits.. They were the days before the term Responsible Drinking was introduced...

Good times... Good times :)

I recall Silvershair also touring central queensland just after FrogStomp come out, they toured with Magic Dirt, if i recall correctly the singer from magic dirt was so f*ked up that night she spent most of the show laying on the stage on her back and sung from that position....

Silverchair were awesome though, even at that age...

I also remember that if you were at the front of the stage those days it was just known as "being up the front".. The word Mosh Pit musn't have yet been invented...

*Ends old man rant..*

Seen them a few times... Livid 2003, supporting Pennywise around 2000 I think, and when they toured with the Mad Caddies... awesome shows every time.

always good for a laugh the frenzal lads. lyndsay is a stuck up rude prat but the rest of the band arent to shabby. wish they'd get lex back on bass. tom isnt a patch on lex.

still think there are plenty of aussie acts out there better than frenzal but atleast you know frenzal will always put on an entertaining show. nothing quite like early 90's track suit pants and lime green gibson sg's is there
