Surely the ABC will cover Dogs/WT at least online?
I guess having digital coverage of it would be better than nothing, but it's still pretty weak.

The terms of the radio deal is that they have to carry the live game in each state. They are barred from live commentary on the delayed game.
We also don't need Hadley calling games on the TV. I won't watch him.
Sat arvo is a dead zone , for both ratings and crowds.
Never going to happen.
Just a quick one. Fox have the red button option. Why cant 9?
If Saturday afternoons are such a "dead zone" then why do other codes play fixtures on Saturday afternoon with good crowds attending?
Saturday afternoon is a great option, especially for families!
Already the 5.30pm timeslot is becoming the most popular of the timeslots on a Saturday for hosting clubs.
The Titans hosted the Warriors 3 seasons ago at 3.30pm on a Saturday and drew a crowd of over 23,000. This timeslot can be a great success given the right area/city to place a game.
The biggest problem for RL is the Monday night game. This is both an impost for hosting clubs and a negative impact to the next week's round!
That is the real timeslot issue that NRL clubs should be looking to replace! Preferably with the Sunday night 6.30pm timeslot! It would be a good compromise.
At the moment it is the main issue for the draw as I see it. If you look at the other codes they are shying away from such a timeslot with good reason! They know their fans that attend games do not like it and it impacts on the next weekends round of football! Simple but true!

This.
Everyone complained about Saturday arvo games and their lack of ability to pull a crowd. Now everyone with a short memory wants them back.
I don't get it, would have been a massive farce the other way around. The way the dogs are going they're lucky to be on network tv at all. Common sense prevailed with this decision.

It's not about the game being shown, it's about the fact that in 2013 a game ( Bulldogs v Tigers ) isn't available LIVE on mainstream tv either free to air or pay. It's the similar situation with Sunday afternoons on Channel 9. Yes, people knew this would be the case, but now they are feeling the frustration of still having to deal with it.
