There isn't 1 event at the entire Commonwealth Games that I'd call "decent"... it's all rubbish... put the real rugby on!

1) They've paid millions of dollars for the rights to the Commonwealth Games and they are a ratings winner for the network.

It is a non ratings period atm so they count for squat.

Look people are just whinging because its rugby union, this union vendetta is just absolutely pathetic.
If anyone actually watched 7's rugby or played it its very exciting, abit like one day cricket is to test cricket. The quality isn't quite there but thats to be expected since most of the top line players aren't there.

I don't know about everyone else but it beats watching lawn bowls.

Err people are whinging because we had to wait half an hour over the scheduled start time because of that crap. The game was already an hour later than normal because of the sh*tty games.

The moment i knew at about 6pm that the league was starting at 9:30 i was complaining.

When I saw that they were showing absolutely nothing sports like swimming "races" (i.e us = world's best vs countries that cant swim in a puddle), and then 7s union that we were going to bronze in at best........ I was furious.

The only reason they are leaving the Comm games on late is because they wont get any ratings points by putting the league on earlier.

Look serious get over it, the comm games happen once every 4 years for like 2 weeks, its not the end of the world.

Friday night Rah Rah is happening all over Asia too courtesy of ABC Asia Pacific who decided to put Super 14 instead of NRL on its regular slot and our Friday night game isn't being shown at all. They used to show both channel 9 games but this season so far it's only the Sunday afternoon game while S14 gets at least two games a week.

edit: Okay, the abc website says 2 nrl games a week but on the onscreen guide says super14 on the timeslot.

As if there's not enough rah rah (english club games) on Star Sports, ABC shows a minimum of 2 S14 games weekly.

Just on the rah rah super 14 style. Even the experts are lambasting the standard of play so far. Scrum penalties galore. Yawn!!!!

Note that while they did end up being half an hour late, Nine gave plenty of warning - weeks of warning - that the game would be at 9.30

You think you had it bad, on Fox (which is the only place for us to watch RL at a decent time) we had to put up with another Force blow out running over then they cut the Ch9 footage so the first half only lasted about 27 minutes! Got very confusing when one mniute it was a drop out then the nxt second they were packing for a scrum???

they had the 9 sports bloke on radio and it sounded like he was trying to blame the NRL because they chose to start the comp now instead of waiting till after the games :roll:

he gave no guarantees it won't happen again next week either :evil:
