Did we make the right choice with Mara? If I remember correctly and it's a big if, was it down to him and Seluini as the heir apparent hookers and there was only space for one of them? Granted Seluini hasn't kicked on at his other clubs but I would have loved for him to be given a chance with us. I Personally preferred him well above Mara.

We'll probably never know. We don't play Mara. We probably wouldn't have played Nafe. We'd be playing Taylor

In hindsight, Seluini being let go has made sense. In the first grade games he did play, his service from dummy half was slow, certainly not crisp. Same as we're seeing with Konrad and Johnson and the like, its a lot easier to make a strong run in NYC compared to the NRL. I have fears around Savila Havili and Trent Bishop also, great runners, but not outstanding passers (certainly not bad). Friend does have quite a good pass out of dummy half, its generally accurate. He generally hits the forwards flat on the advantage line, and generally he knows what play is on to pass to who. I'd suspect our record since Friend has come over is a heck of a lot better with him in the team than not in the team.

lol, and who was his coach pre Ivan ?

Nafe is going good for the Jets, hope he cracks the Roosters FG squad this year.

I like his attitude, I think we have younger guys who could easily match him physically.

He should be the captain.

Definitely agree with him being the captain. Mannering needs to focus on his game now, he's just not doing enough as a leader.

He was at the Roosters last year and did nothing either. You can lol all you like mate, he hasn't convinced anyone he's a consistent first grade hooker. It's all there in black and white frankly.

Hah, that would explain why the Tigers benched Farah last night to give Iosefa a run.
