Im going to stick my neck out early and predict a big season from these two..... I just think these guys run hard to the line, hate being tackled and will put a bit of starch in our attack.... if Im right fantastic...if Im wrong Ill wear it

Watching the trial, Frizz reminded me alot of Jeremy Smith (not just the socks lol). He had a mixed bag last sat, but there is definately some great potential there. Vidot is just an absolute meter eating animal :) Really keen to see him in the centres on friday. No dissrespect to C. Stanley, because he did a very good job last week.

Vidot made some mistakes at the start of last season, but came good and was one of best in the latter part.... Frizell is a gun, and is a great buy for us!

Agree with this post. Vidot IMO will be far more effective in the centres. His size will draw in more than one defender on most occasions giving his winger more room and as you all know we have great wingers.

As for Frizell, yep he looks the goods, I'm excited we have a great pack this season with some depth as well. I think think the Sharks may regret letting him and Smith go.

That's the question. Along with his reading in defence.

I think Stanley is the better footballer with more skill and guile, but Vidot is the better athlete. I was impressed by Vidot on Saturday playing left centre - he looked to get outside his opposite and almost did once or twice. And as usual, he was hard to stop, requiring two or three defenders. He did his claims no harm at all. Keen to see him get a crack on the right this week, his preferred side, and the contentious spot.

there was nothing more we could have done about smith. that was all down to his family.

As long as Vidot can feed Nighty,if he can then what a bonus having strikepower on both sides .

I watched the footage of Saturdays trial and I must admit Vidot looked comfortable at centre and for mine was a standout. Having said that and considering the game was a trial, I tend to think opposing centres in the comp will relish marking him. I'm just not sold on his defensive capabilities and positioning. On the face value of last Sat night though he could kill it this year in the 3 jersey. Let's hope so.

I am reliably informed that vidot is not overly popular amongst players. Mainly due to his somewhat lazy attitude to punctuality and general professionalism. Nobody questions his size and power but Stanley is the popular choice amongst his team mates.

Personally I prefer vidot. But if vidot doesnt have a blinder, and player power has its way expect chase Stanley to get the nod.

So your not sold on his defensive capabilities, and you think opposing centres will relish marking him (so you are also not sold on his attacking capabilities)... But he was a stand out?

I'm confused
