made the wrong decision to break away from the dragons back in 1967 and have payed dearly ever since. Have never looked like winning a premiership and have struggled for away support because the local derrelicts dont leave their hole much. There is a major problem with underrage drinking and drug-taking in the area and this spills over into poor crowd behavior. Due to a poor home-ground, a poor team and a poor area they have had to be saved from bankruptcy from the various bodies. When in sydney if you want to see the sharks at play you are better off going to the aquarium.

Just sad.

The Cronulla Sharks are a team in the National Rugby League (NRL), the main competition in Australia for rugby league football.

The Sharks started life as Cronulla Sutherland Sharks joining the NSWRL (New South Wales Rugby League) competition - predecessor to the Australian Rugby League (ARL) and the current National Rugby League (NRL) competition, in 1967.

In 2004 the Cronulla Sharks are captained by Brett Kimmorley and coached by Stuart Raper.

As of 2003 the Cronulla Sharks have yet to win a premiership. The Sharks have been runners up 3 times and minor premiers twice.

The sharks though should be captained by David Peachey and not that hack kimmorley.
