For some reason I found it really funny watching Widder's second try today, with Dykes as his shadow.

Was good to see Dykes so happy to see his teammates scoring though.

 for a secod there I thought Dykes tackled Widders as he was grounding the ball and he lost it  A couple of weeks ago that's what would have happened...remember Thorman's knock on over the line :?

Great spirit in the camp.

Was so proud when the boys took their time after the game to clap the fans that turned up. This was not the bland ususal clap, turn, walk off, but they really took the time to celebrate with the suffering fans.

The celebrations were great...it got to the stage where they were celebrating every decision that went our way, penalties, big hits etc...good to see some passion back in our side.
The crowd was awesome! - I'm sure that played a big part in the win too, having the fans behind them.
lol I thought it was funny when Stapo & Hoppa were just about to come back onto the field, Hoppa was mouthing off again at Stapo & he just looked at him and laughed.
Take a look at the scoreboard Hoppa!

I think the funniest moment was Beaver pointing out the video ref ballsed up the decision to give us a penalty when Ash dived over in the corner and was knocked into the corner post by Torrens with his knees.

Beaver: "...well shouldn't it be a penalty try?..."

Damn right it should have!!!

And while I am on tries that should have been....at the start of the game - Burt goes for the corner, getting pushed into touch, throws it inside, ball hits Ash on the head and bounces into the in goal, no Manly player bothers touching it, Burt runs back in grounds a foot in play and forces teh ball....ruled a knock on by the ref - it is NOT a knock on if the ball comes off a persons head - go to the video fellas!

and when Leuluai nearly took Vellas head off seeing Pearson and co. run over and give some push and shove just shows how much team spirit we have

When Dykes was shadowing Widders it looked like he was saying "Pass it to me, Pass it to me, I wanna score" like in junior league. Been some funny moments in footy lately.

Actually I thought it was the right decision - given the ball had touched Ash and he didn't run through, Burt is technically offside.

And when the ref called up Beaver and Wags and said to Beaver 'there was time off to go and talk to his players'
And when he went to say it to Wags he's like 'Why should I we've been playing great'

And with Gould also saying 'if Ash couldve caught the ball with his mouth they had a certain try' :)

Also in the ABC call David Morrow kept on saying Corey Parker! Corey Parker! Hmm.. maybe it would have been good if we actually had him...

When Hoppa was trying to stir Stapo up, about 10 seconds before they went back on.

Hoppa apparently said, "do you think you got any good ones on me?"

Stapo just laughed at him and ignored him.

When it was the fight, David Morrow called it like:

"Stapleton a couple of lefts!"
"Hopoate a couple of rights!"

It was a bit like calling a boxing match, really.

Dont know if anyone saw it but when Muspratt got thrown into the bench at the end of the game by Cleal, Pearson came running like a little nugget from 20 metres away and gave Muspratt a little tap on the head as if to say good on ya mate, then ran 20 metres back to the scrum feed....
Thought it was a pretty funny...Good to see em having fun

i was about to say that too i thought that was a crack up

another thing was des hasler at the press confrence where he blamed the ref for the score line. the eagles should be lucky cause any other ref and we would have won by 60

The boys were playing football like it was meant to be played- for fun. While they aren't up to 2001 standard yet the way the enjoyed themselves yesterday was reminiscient of some games back then.......

WEll Sterling made the same mistake calling Pearson, Parker.

Guess it must be contagis

The Ch.9 commentators had a bit of trouble with all the baldies in the team. There was a Pearson/Muspratt tackle that they called correctly, adding something about "the two bald men". The next tackle was Vella/Muspratt, but they called it as Pearson/Muspratt again.
