Parts of Brookie are worth keeping ie the Arko stand and the new coe/stand

The hill is the most urgent priority then if money allows the remaining two stands. They said Jane try has concrete cancer yet there seem no plans to condemn it and it does the job
The Jane Try stand needs to be the first to go, a whole new grand stand along the Western side with increased seating capacity and new change rooms and facilities underneath, then getting it to wrap around where the Arko stand and the southern end after that, the hill can stay short term at least till the Jane Try/ western grandstand is replaced.

Jeez, what a crap stadium…

I was in the middle of the stadium for the Ed Sheeran concert recently. 80k screaming fans in the seats and it felt quite on the pitch
That picture without the roof clearly shows how the stands are fanned back rather than stacked on top of each other and how shallow the rake is. Not to mention the oval ends. Just a terrible ground.

The NRL should make a third Brisbane team contingent on Suncorp being upgraded to 65-70k.

Once the NRL has a credible grand final option outside Accor, the NSW Government would lose its monopoly position and face real pressure to redevelop Accor properly.

It’s been mentioned here bunch of times that it cannot be upgraded to that much (70k). Would need complete knock down.
also mentioned here that there were reports done to upgrade it to around 60-65k and reports took into consideration a 3rd nrl franchise based at Suncorp. All been discussed here already.

Third team?

The dolphins can barely get 15k in there if they're not playing the Broncos.

Now isn't the time for a 3rd Brisbane, the 2nd Brisbane side hasn't been in the competition long

Give it time

2nd NZ, and when PNG falls over in 10-12 years time, give that licence to QLD

Are the dolphins even a “Brisbane“ team?

maybe the dolphins longterm strategy should be to develop kayo stadium to around 15k-16k capacity and similar with the Sunshine Coast stadium and become a team that represents both these areas while playing their home games against the broncos and cowboys at suncorp?

The Qld Government won't fund it, and I doubt Brisbane City Council would have the finances to (and that's assuming Kayo falls into its jurisdiction). Kayo Stadium is not an NRL standard facility for regular game play.

This was always my worry about the dolphins becoming the Brisbane version of manly sea eagles.
