Whilst the current Parra Stadium was being built they played at Belmore. Since it's a FG ground again I suppose it could be an option.

That rental price is crazy, nib stadium doesn't cost much more than that a game. Maybe manly need to do what NFL clubs do and threaten to move somewhere else. If the people of the region care they will let the council know in no uncertain terms that they will be kicked out if that happens. Nothing galvanises pollies like the thought of a defeat and end to the gravy train!

Manly brought a game to Perth about 3 years ago and got 21k at Subiaco oval. I am surprised they never did it again? They look like they will loose the Gosford option to Roosters unless they get their act together.

Belmore is not used regularly as ground, only for what 1-2 games and that was this year. It is not really up to standard at all.

THE Parramatta Eels board will this week consider a $1.2-million-a-year sweetener from ANZ Stadium to play the club?s home games at Olympic Park.
It follows the announcement last week that current home Pirtek Stadium will be torn down and a $300 million sports arena built in its place.
The Eels will need a new home for at least two years while the 30,000-seat venue in Parramatta is built.

So ANZ is offering us $1.2million a year to play there while the new Parra stadium is being built. Seems like a bad deal on ANZ's behalf but ok. Deal.

No doubt the deal will have something in it like we'll still have to take a couple of games a year to ANZ after the new Parra stadium is built. Like the current deal. Which I'd reject because we won't use ANZ as a home ground except for the Preliminary Finals.

Amazed they make any money (ANZ SMC). I guess they keep most of the gate receipts and food and drink do they?

Manly Sea Eagles' outstanding $358,000 debt to council raises fresh Brookvale Oval fears

Basic summary:
- Brooky is a shithole and not up to NRL standard.
- The council doesnt care and just wants the Sea Eagles to cop it and pay up anyway.
- The chances of the proposed Brooky redevelopment are slim at best.

Manly really need to look into an agreement with Gosford.

Maybe we could call them the Northern Eagles?

No way, man. they should keep dong exactly what theyve been doing for the last 60 years so they can continue to pull a solid 7k per game and be constantly on the brink of death.

#ChangeIsScary

How many premierships has your side won in the last 50 years?

Less than Manly. Regardless of who you support.

How many in the last ten?

Again, less than Manly. Regardless of who you support.

We are in better shape than Newcastle or the Gold Coast...

Sounds interesting, name change seems unnecessary though.

Ultimately all that matters is that it's a good experience for fans I guess.
