Nobody bar Penrith is getting a new stadium in the next few years, so I think long term strategic stuff like this is worth looking at.I agree that should be the case.
I just can't see it happening any time soon.

Fair enough. I disagree.Nobody bar Penrith is getting a new stadium in the next few years, so I think long term strategic stuff like this is worth looking at.

A-League drifters Western United makes new stadium commitment
For too long, A-League expansion side Western United has viewed through a prism of unfulfilled promise. Now, club chairman Jason Sourasis has laid down a new marker with ESPN.www.espn.com.au
An eastern grand stand at Brookvale and Wollongong would be a nice compromise.Nobody bar Penrith is getting a new stadium in the next few years, so I think long term strategic stuff like this is worth looking at.
I'd call those upgrades to existing facilities, and yeah they're about as much as I think we can expect to get in NSW.An eastern grand stand at Brookvale and Wollongong would be a nice compromise.
That is because the game did turn out to be better off without the Newtown Jets and having the Broncos, knights etc and instead.People underestimate history in the game
Souths’ march turnout offers a different perspectiveThat is because the game did turn out to be better off without the Newtown Jets and having the Broncos, knights etc and instead.

It does that. But I think most signs point to expansion into sensible places trumps history of that is the main reason to retain a club. As I said I would offer the Perth location to the Bears but I would be saying to them you have to play your NSW Cup team from out of Perth for 3 years and make a connection then we will give you the NRL license but you have to play 12 home games in Perth each year for ever.Souths’ march turnout offers a different perspective

The Bears are running out of time. In 20 years they will have been out of the comp as long as Jets have now. If another generation passes they will be long forgotten and have very little to offer any joint venture. The issue becomes when the new team falls off the cliff. You have that history you can then market it well particularly in heritage week.
So it gives you 1 guaranteed big crowd
2 when they are hosting in magic round
That is a great boost for a new market team hence why these areas are speaking to the Bears
yeah there's no way that joint is a better rectangular stadium than Suncorp, QCB, Allianz, Parra, AAMI.I guess a lot of Perth people voted

Not even closeyeah there's no way that joint is a better rectangular stadium than Suncorp, QCB, Allianz, Parra, AAMI.
lol Perth stadia won every category they were eligible for… which kinda makes you suspect the voting was somewhat skewed
"Best rectangular" wasn't Optus mate. The fact that it was labelled the best rectangular as well as the best cricket is a …bit how would I say.. peculiar
