Just responding to claims that Perth facilities are crap.

Well, for anything other than AFL and cricket, the Perth facilities are sub standard. You can bang on about 60K capacity all you like, but Perth Stadium is useless for virtually every other sport on the planet. The same can be said about the MCG.

Nobody has said it hasn't attracted events - it has. The fact is the viewing experience and sight lines for spectators for anything requiring a rectangular field (pretty much every sport in the world) is sub par.
Even Accor shits all over it in this regard.

Perth stadium's interior is also ugly. Grey seats? Grey walls? Who decided on that dull colour? Ruins a fairly decent cricket ground.
