It might be a reality check for Victorians when the US gives feedback out the MCG on social media. The victorians don’t take criticism well when it comes to afl or mcg
The Victorian's will be really worried what the American's will say about the MCG that it is not fit for a sport that is barely played in Australia or any other country outside the US.

I paid $200 for Origin ticket in a middling seat. Perth Origin ranges from $89-$340.
Point stands, the only people with a problem with it are the people who it makes no difference to as they have no intention of going lol

As a member I can get into Origin for $60 in Perth. $50 for the horrible seats at Origin Sydney. MCG last year had cheap seats for the horrible viewing.

there is no way given the price the govt paid plus the cost that anyone is getting into the NFL for under $200

Well hard to make that statement when we have yet to see the setup or the prices or anything.

This isn't the only event to try to come here, It is the biggest but Baseball also tried to start their season here and it failed

So we will see the feedback from those who attend but interest doesn't always translate

Agreed. And they aren't huge crappy AFL/cricket grounds. They are rectangular so a much better viewing experience.

Baton Rouge - 102 000 capacity. Rectangular.

Auburn. - 87 000 capacity.

College stadium - 102 000

This is how you do rectangular stadiums.

The MCG is somewhat good for cricket and handball.
It is honestly shite for anything else.
no yank has ever fisted a behind at those grounds though

You know ESPN had American commentators JUST for Australia. They knew who they were talking too!
They weren't the game commemorators but the ones when the game is stopped for breaks adds, timeouts etc, you know, like almost all the time.

The back row seats won't be the problem. If you can see a cricket pitch from there you'll be able to see the footy field ok. The closest seats will be the trouble as you'll be looking at the backs of players and coaches on the sideline.

Would they be expecting a large contingent of travelling yanks for this? I'd think the vast majority would be locals but could be wrong. What has happened when the NFL have gone to other countries in the past?

I mean I guess it could be like our Vegas round, where we have a strong base of Aussies going. However the NFL wouldn't need Americans to go to sell out.
