I’m disappointed but that stand isn’t the one that really needs to be replaced the main stand getting redone will be decent given the poor corporate facilities there now

Its $300 million to move a sewer line and make it quicker to buy a beer at the game. The stands aren't going to be much of an upgrade on what we have already.

Not worth the money spent.

So all Vlandys got out of the ACCOR Redevelopment cancellation was a POS 1980s style Grandstand at Penrith.
What an absolute joke.
It’s both grandstands to be fair

And it’s not even tied to keeping the grand final in Sydney either

If Pvl wanted to be greedy he could wait till Penrith is done then just sell the grand final to the highest bidder

The nsw govt is still paying around 8 million pa for the grand final plus spending 1.5 billion on stadia and coe

There is no question that V'Landys and Abdo are asleep at the wheel when it comes to stadium upgrades.

Every sport bar dwarf throwing and Rugby League is trying to extract a $500million - $14billion dollar facility out of the Olympics.

Today I learned all of Sydney live at Central Station.

Also 20mins. Hyperbole, much?
Since when did anyone mention “all of Sydney”?
Your original comment was referring to “Visitors” finding it a shocking venue to get to and from.
Consider most Visitors are accommodated within the Sydney CBD, the Central Station example seems quite fair.
If we talk about Locals,Sydney Olympic Park is located at the heart of demographic Sydney. It cannot be more central to the whole metropolitan area.
And yes…it is 20 minutes from Central, stopping only at Strathfield.
Even quicker from Parramatta coming the other way
Done it many many times for Olympics,Origins,GFs etc
It really isnt that difficult.

Lulz, the NFL game isn't just an exercise in dollars otherwise it'd be played in Asia

It's a marketing exercise, and any Australian experiencing their first game at the MCG is going to have a less than optimal experience.

So much so I'd assert the MCG is going to have a negative impact.
