Any idea if it’s just the main stand that will get redone or more on top of that
No idea. Rumour last year was main stand and North stand. Personally I'd do main stand, put a roof on South stand and extend the shed and put a cantilever roof over it. 27k-30k, 24k+ seats, most undercover. Sorted.,

@Red&BlackBear knows but he won’t tell me lol

Doing that shed end isn’t crucial the main stand as a full corporate and members side is the big thing (commbank western on steroids)

Plus given how many English fans are in Perth they may well like the standing terrace

That's what we should do to 'the hills' on Sydney suburban grounds- standing terrace with a new polypropylene style roof.

I take it they get more in?
Give us an example of one I can look up from English soccer. Please.
Having looked up some standing terraces, from the English, the one whereby, obviously differing height levels, arranged in Bay, with flat top rails (beer cup holder/hole with a bench seat at back , so seating at back and flat rail at front. Made for 2, and 4 person bays. Look Rugby League is somewhat better to watch standing, something about the game, maybe a 'feel the hits' but It's much better standing , watching, but sometime a seat during a lull, ie conversion is good. If done right this could the best quirky aspect that which betters the experience.

Yer I was thinking the same when watching last night. Same with suncorp over Magic Round. Yet the Cricket/ Afl grounds don't seem to get the same water pooling issues.

Suncorp had 9 games played in 3 days in horrible conditions. It was perfectly fine.

But this new version of the sfs is awful. The surface at the old sfs was magnificent. I'm not sure what went wrong this time.

They relaid half the turf before magic round

Most likely corners cut during construction. The surface reminded me of the center of the MCG in the 90s and Subiaco after a rare bit of rain out Perth way
