Future Playmakers?

Firstly, I'd like to clear up the Braith Anasta rumour, people saying we're thinking of offering him a deal for 2009 and boyond - Grade A crap. If and only if I am wrong, I will reveal my source.

Secondly, with all these talented halves coming through, I'm wondering what will happen to our current young ones - Holdsworth and Roberts that is.

Just say this is a halves pairing for 2009:

6. Holdsworth
7. Roberts

Where does that leave the blooding of our younger halves, Babar and Groom? Sullivan (as good as he is) might be in the way of Jamie Clark or another young half coming through the ranks. Thoughts?

I think the future for roberts is in the dummy half position, with him and sullivan rotating the duties. That frees up holdsworth and the new kids, barba and groom.

Still have to wait for Sherwin's next move. I dont think he will get another contract or atleast at the same $$$$$ he was offered before. Look for another club to make a better offer.

not sure what will happen though...2008 still sees hughes and sherwin in the 17 anyway.

Roberts running the show scares me, like him out of dummy half though, his step and agility can really lead him to give us some attacking flair out of dummy half, something that we haven't had for a long time.

I'm not entirely sure why he was 5/8th this year as he was playing just as bad as Holdsworth. Maybe Sherwin was teaching him how our halves operate for a reason, such as 2008 Halfback

Roberts would be a great centre / hooker or versatile bench player.
