Would merging with one of the Brisbane QLD cup team NRL bids be a possibility? As far as club mascots go a Shark isn't a huge leap from a Dolphin. Aren't Norths colours light blue? Norths-Redcliffe Sharks?

As far as the development goes, under the 3A application,it is going to take months up til early next year ,for determination. So it can't IMO be any development decision, at this early stage.

Gallen's view could be based on uncertainty with the likes of losing Douglas, with cash flow such as 7,200 only turning up for the Cowboys game.Maybe no good news on merging with other non NRL clubs .Whatever.
It is hardly a secret, that the clubs financial position is finely balanced. He was asked a leading question on TV,and answered honestly.
The players may well have been told ,we keep losing, the crowds drop,we may have to relocate.
The ball is in the players court.FFS when you get to a lead, try not to surrender it,or put away the cues.Knock over the Roosters on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and you will attract more.
It would be nice to get some sort of update,as to the real positon of the club now.

it was always a tough one to get a crowd to.
Easter and an out of town team...off the back of a few loses
7200 was about what I would have predicted.
It's a wonder the NRL didn't try to screw us by giving us the derby during Easter.

oh hang on they have done that one already ....they gave us a Monday night instead this time.

Yo Hooch, just out of interest. Are you a Sharks fan?

Nah.. Knights. But it's a shame watching the club just go to shit off the field over the past few years.. and now no ceo.. fmd.

Come up to CC, give us a local team.

the CEO is a money thing IMO.

From what I can gather.
They are holding out as long as possible until they get some dosh from the Development.

Reported in the paper the other day.
chairman $60 big ones
board members $15 big ones per year...all have opted to take no big ones at all.

I can only give kudos to them for having a dig.
Say what you want about the personalities but at least they are trying something to save the joint.

Agree>it is easy to be a monday morning quarterback, telling the world what should have been done.
I read somewhere ,that by doing this and not having a CEO ATM,means they will be looking at a break even situation this year, rather than the usual loss.
I for one will not be knocking the current admin for trying to save money ,under the current circumstamces.
If the club has to relocate,at least all efforts were made.
if the club survives and prospers, they should be knighted.;-)

yeah i dont think everyone here believes the board are farked.

its only a few here who like to suck each others coks that try and portray this "your either with us, or against us" mentality and get everyone to believe the bullsh1t they try and dish out in here.

that was the projection for last year also, but still no word on how 2010 traded

I dont know anybody who even thinks the bears will be back in CC let alone the Sharks.
Face the facts, most people up there dont have 2 cents to scrape their scabs let alone buy a footy ticket or a hat.

What happened in 2010 is ancient history now.
If there is break even or even a small loss this time,at least it be heading in the right direction.
I'll bide my time, until the latest figures are announced.

wonder if the bank holds the same opinion

lucky its not your breath you are holding - those figures are 6 months out now and still nothing

Then the bank,I suggest knows something about the development being knocked back, before the planning dept has made a determination.

If we can wait for an I.C for ages,I will wait for a Sharks announcement whatever that be.It is not going to change the result or decisions to be made.

Does anyone have a video link to Gallen being on the Sunday Footy Show? I would love to hear for myself what he had to say.
