Sharks' Gallen to miss four to six weeksCronulla lock Paul Gallen will miss up to six weeks after MRI scans revealed ligament damage to his right ankle.
Gallen suffered the injury during the second half of last Saturday's NRL trial win over South Sydney, the NSW Origin backrower ruled out for between four and six weeks.
Sharks physio Matt Green said the MRI result was good news for the club.
"The scans have revealed ligament damage but the injury is not as bad as first feared," said Green.
Gallen will visit a specialist later this week to get a more accurate assessment of the injury and recovery period.

Hopefully its only 4 weeks, if so he'll only just mis the start of the season.

Either way its better than 8 weeks which I had heard predicted.

The Sharks always undervalue how long players injury's are supposed to take to heal. Loo Loo was supposed to be back by round 18 last year, didn't play a game, Ross was supposed to have been back late in the finals, Vags was supposed to be right for the start of the season and Gallen was supposed to be back a month before he was selected.

I know nothing about the injury but was going to add a month or so on whatever the Sharks first said so Spidey's guess seems about right.
