We're halfway into his 3 year deal. The numbers bandied about at the time of his signing were in the range of $200k-$250k, depending on who you spoke to.

Out of a possible 38 games, he's played 19, missed some games through injury but mostly through playing PL.

What do people think at this stage? I was excited when we signed him, he was only 20, showed promise and already had the build of a prop. Now, I see next to no improvement, there's obviously issues there with Sheens and I think for $225k a year (as average) we haven't got value out of him.

On the plus side, he is still 21, still shows promise and should have an idea of the areas in his game that needs work.

yes, all of his friends are in first grade.

Only a moron would assume such a thing.

I was glad to see him go from the sharks.
But i do believe that in 3-4 years he will have a good year or two.
It really depends on his speed as he can be very painfull to watch hitting the ball up.
Some coaches are going for more athletic type prop, seeif the trend continues.

He is a lug. If he ran hard he'd be as damaging as Mason.
But his runs are soft, slow and lack venom
Coupled with his lazy, half arsed tackling style
Another dud along with last year's purchases of J Lo, Slammin and O'Hara
What talent identification Ronald possesses

early on in the year he showed what we all expected to see from him when we signed him. unfortunatly he picked up a knee injury and although he's shown glimpses of the form he showed early in the season he just hasn't been given the game time to build upon that form.
He's a good young player that we should keep around no doubt about that he just needs a bit of luck with injuries and sort out whatever it is that keeps getting him put back into reggies.

IMO Galloway has never gotten a fair go. For example, against the Titans I thought he was our best forward, yet he would have been lucky to play 30 minutes.

He was slow at marker for one of the Broncos tries on Monday and I assume thats why he was dropped. But how many other players missed tackles and were lazy in defence? It seems that as soon as Keith makes one mistake he's dropped - I don't think thats fair at all, and I'm convinced he doesn't have a good rapport with Sheens.

We paid overs for him, but he isn't being given an opportunity to consistently show his worth. I think over time he definately has potential to be a quality prop - if he gets more game time.

Well if we get mullered on sunday with zero size in the squad whilst they have units like tilse, weyman and logan it will be interesting to hear coach Sheens' thoughts. *edit*

I'm with you on this.

I remember speaking to a mate who's married to Keith's cousin last year. Apparently, Keith was frustrated at the lack of opportunities he was getting and wasn't really being given, in his mind anyway, good reasons why he wasn't getting those opportunities. He's also a young bloke that had been handed a big pay-day when he hadn't really earnt it so that's no doubt inflated his ego to a degree, and possibly made it difficult for the club to get through to him to work harder on his game.

Bottom line with him I think is he's 21, his mind and attitude/focus is going to wander from week to week regardless. Do we expect to much from him? Is that expectation a hangover from his (reported) contract size?

Galloway can play the game. He`s not far off being one of the best props in the game and if you don`t think so, you`re a very bad judge!!!

Whooooah!

Not far off one of the best in the game. Surely you jest. The potential is there but right now he's nowhere near the top of the pile.

He has the potential to be one of the best. If he improves lateral movement in the defensive line. He is good quality. Maybe as an ex prop himself Sheens is using these first two years to build some steel and character into the kid

so we pay 200 odd grand a year for a player to reach his potential in year 3 of a year 3 contract. Another smart move by the recruitment team. He has either got or not,we either give him a fair go,or flick him--I have a gut feeling their would be a few other clubs interested in big saucse

He's a powder puff.

Your basing that on.......

Whats the point of having one of our highest paid players in PL? Even if he was struggling (which i dont think he is) it would make sense to give him more game time. You've made the investment, give it a run!

He went to Kogarah marist and recieved all the acolades for his social and charity work. Speaks to the school on some special occasions and has a really level head. As long as he improves on the field you should have no dramas with his career off it.

Thought he was great today and showed why he should be a first grade regular. That hit on Logan was brilliant, showed what a pussy Logan is after he spat the dummy and threw the ball after being parked on his ass. can't believe Keefy got a penalty against him.
