Galvin v the Tigers

The tigers should respond to his letter by stating they will put him on paid leave for the next 6 months and then he can play in NSW cup next season.

I can’t imagine any fair work investigation would find such terms disagreeable.

this bloke is ruining his career like that flog who is suing the bulldogs for making him cry at training

Not stfu is what he did wrong. Nobody is saying you have to sign an extension you don't want. But just stfu and play out your contract and then leave. That is how a professional does it.
What ... like Turuva did in his social media and Luai and Api in a press conference ? Lolz

I mean given you've mentioned a FW investigation, some of the standard examples of bullying per s.789FD are exclusion in (or from) the workplace, deprivation of opportunity or deliberate unreasonable work demands (like giving someone too much or too little work, or forcing them to take leave potentially).

That's probably why Moses has made this play. I genuinely don't know if Galvin is covered and I doubt this would be considered anything but reasonable action, but for someone like Moses it's not about that. It's about playing the club into a position where the easiest option is to cave rather than slog it out in public anymore.

I kind of feel bad for Galvin tbh. I think he's a flog, but who the f**k isn't at 18/19? Between his manager and his dad there's not a lot of rational thought

Send him on a mental health retreat to Bali for a year and watch him come back 180kg.

Then let him go to his next team.

Some of these reactions are pretty sad .
And a reminder about what kind of people are out there. Looks like young Locky found a club full of those kinda folks..
Wants to leave... that's exactly what triggers these creeps the most, when you see them for what they are, the full reveal!
Lucky he's got some smart people in his corner.
I wonder how Bulla feels about now..he'd realise he's in a bad spot now along with a few other young guys.
There's a load plotting their exit.

oh that’s funny .. it’s like everyone predicted Moses wanted this to happen all along

Fancy using a 19 year old’s mental health as a pawn to get a better deal for yourself. What a grub
If the other players weren't publicly mocking him, he couldn't claim shit. But when he is publicly being bullied by his teammates and the public have jumped on board. Mental health is a legitimate concern for a kid. For anyone really. That shit would f**k with anyones head.

Tigers have to take some of the blame here. The club and the players. The club for constantly trying to lock him into a long term contract when he had already told them he didn't want to stay. The players for bullying a player because he isn't happy at the club. Players are allowed to want to leave. As much as it sucks.

This kid is 19 and his entire team hates him as does the entire supporter base. Most fans of other teams hate him. I feel sorry for the kid and think mental health is a legitimate concern in his case. I think he's seriously overrated and whenever he does sign a new contract will be on a hiding to nothing when he fails to deliver on his hype.

Be interesting to see who flops harder out of Dylan Brown and Lachlan Galvin. Tigers should be happy he knocked them back. You don't want another Luke Brooks situation.

Just wait till he goes to Crapamatta and doesn't live up to expectations. Mr Sanctimonious here is going to see what kind of people his fellow Eels simpletons are.

Bro, who are you even talking about it's a fixation.

The denizens of the Eels forum living rent free in anyone's head is an alarming symptom.

What did Galvin do wrong?
They wanted to offer him a contact...he turned it down.
O but he said he thinks he'll develop better at another club...
So the Tigers decided to show everyone EXACTLY why he's not staying.
They all get together and decided to drop him to NSW Cup and collectively bag him on social media.

What a bunch of clowns. Certainly not the place you want to grow and learn at.

Well done young man. Get the f**k out of there.

You missed the bit where Galvin's management went out to the media to bag the club and coach in an attempt to get out of his contract.

But that's no surprise from a clown who thinks players should just be able to walk out on their contract whenever their feelings are hurt.

What are the chances of Galvin lining up for the Magpies at Lidcombe Oval tomorrow?

Was thinking of going.

Hardly living rent free in my head, quite the opposite. They couldn't take me slapping them around like red-headed stepchildren so blocked me from posting there.

My god that is a wild take of epic proportions lol.. all over a post that said “Team first” and another social media post that literally had no caption

the same 19 year old kid had video footage laughing and joking around with team mates the next day. Didn’t seem like he was bullied like the media portrayed

If you’re so concerned about his mental health blame his pissant manager for dragging his name through the mud & making it untenable for him to stay at his junior club

This thread really does bring out the Karen’s 🤷‍♂️

Huh? What are you? Delusional?

Galvins team said no to an extension and Richo chucked a tanty and released the media statement.

Galvin didn't say shit until Benji made him explain himself infront of his team mates, which went swimmingly.
