You don’t need to try.
It's a well deserved arrogance tbh.

What can Sharks actually change for the big games? I know it's said hes too slow now but Nicho at fullback is the risk I'd take....yes desperate but you need something

Well I'm not sure what you can change for 2026 then.

Not much, sadly.
We badly need an injection of youth, and something/someone who can bust a game open.
We've put all our eggs in the Liam Ison basket, but he can't seem to stay injury free.

Other than that, Michael Gabrael as about our only hope for the outside backs but he seems a season or so away.

And our pack needs a major overhaul.
The starters go ok, but there's SFA behind them.

Goodluck for the rest of the year I legitimately like the Sharkies and I'm not trying to be a merkin.....which is rare for me

I've seen enough of your posts around the traps to know you're not in here shit-stirring.
No worries at all.
Hopefully we see you guys again at the pointy end (where we can look forward to another arse raping).

I’d be an arrogant can’t if we won 4 comps in a row. For us to beat you guys a lot of things would have to go right (luck especially with the refs) and we’d have to take all our chances. Good leveller after putting 50 on last week. Will be better for the tough hit out. Other than the abomination just on half time we weren’t bad defensively.

Ash is an incompetent merkin, I'll never argue that haha

This is what I feared, Cleary has just our coached Fitz again.
The Panthers lose players but they manage to throw kids in.
Us in other hand stuck with the same players who have failed when they have had a chance, last year was real last chance.

I see that Jesse was only given a Grade 1 shoulder charge and a $1500 fine. I’m hoping Jesse doesn’t have the coin and does a Matterson and cops a few weeks. Either that or maybe the club could challenge the grading and say it was grade 3 or 4?

It was round 2.

We will be right in this at the pointy end of the season.

Fact.

I'll agree on that.
But we ain't winning shit this year unless someone from the lowers absolutely comes from the clouds.
We just don't have that next level in us.

I actually had a second look at the Pennies game. When you take the expectation and emotion out of the equation (knowing the result)…. They didn’t actually play that badly. Good reality check early in the season.
I tend to agree, but it all started turning to shyte with those dropped balls. Is it that bloody hard to hold onto the ball and not push passes ?

Yeah it was just the basics Tom….against the Pennies you have to get absolutely everything right to have a chance. The effort was there defensively (Bar that shit-show right on halftime)

It seems we say the same thing after every big game.
When push comes to shove against the big boys, more often than not, we shit the bed.

Hi there team; dropped in to say good game. My two cents; while I was always relatively comfortable, I thought both teams were good (particularly defensively) and the 20 points was not a fair reflection of the game. We were just a bit more clinical with ball in hand, but attack (for both sides) should improve as the year goes on.

It is one of the reason why I am so p!ssed with the draw again. Last year we played in Vegas and then not again. This year the game was in Rd 2 and (I have heard but not verified) we don’t play again. I don’t understand why that is the case; shouldn’t happen at all. They should mix it up so you get two games at least every other year, but if you do only get 1 game, it should be more towards the middle of the season (but not Origin impacted). As both 67 inductees we could easily develop a rivalry.

Anyways, rant over. We will definitely see both our teams in the finals, so hopefully a second game then.

A positive from a negative.

All week the talk would have been to back up the big titans win with a solid effort to show it wasnt a fluke against a bum side.

What better way to do that than against the best team in the comp.

The boys were keen and ran out pumped up and had good momentum for the first 10.
It was all us.

...then...

The 40/20.

...from that...

A try.

I think that sucked the air out and the game plan went to shit.
And had the opposite effect for pennies who grew a leg.

Maybe a lack of an old head behind the posts as cleary was setting the conversion is missing, to set the minds back on the job.

The positive - you only learn from those situations by going through them

Spot on imo….Even Yeo and both Cleary’s commented after the game about the pace and quality of the game and the semi-final intensity. That 40/20 while very early on was massive as the Pennies were on the back foot prior to that. Good lessons.

The weather was a massive contribution to the errors and running on empty.

The humidity the past month has been crazy. Couldn’t imagine playing in it I’m f**ked after 15min of walking the mower around the yard
