The fact that we are entertaining having players in our team like Doorey, Lussick, Tago means that the quality overall hasn’t improved. These type of players weaknesses in a team. They’re simply shit. A very shit standard of player.

Add to that concerning performances of Carty, Tualagi. These were players I was expecting more

I’d rather have potentials in those spots that waste air in this type of player.

On reflection some of these blokes only playing 1st game. Apart from Dooreys missed tackle, contrary to popular belief, I thought he actually played pretty good.
Moretti and Williams were our best forward.
Carty seems distant. Matto first game.
Kelma needs to learn to hit and finish.
Guymer young but not convinced yet...I think overhyped. Hope he develops something in attack because he gets absolutely smashed.
I know Emu got bagged as well but anyone who has played sport at any decent level knows u need weeks to develop match fitness...I'd have him in the mix.
2 maybe 3 forwards will be out for the storm game with Jnr, Joffa and maybe Lane coming in.
So Carty maybe gone and Latu. He although has plenty of upside. I reckon first grade mid way through the season..he looks the goods
TLT on the 4th March will be nothing short of exciting ...

He got dominated a few times. Also was exposed with a lack of speed / agility on an edge. Hes a middle. I don’t think anyone hates him.

Agreed, but edge forward is a weakness for us, specifically in defence.

I’d rather have potentials in those spots that waste air in this type of player.

As shit as they are, they will outperform the likes of Latu, Parker and Ryley Smith. Experience is worth a lot. If you're going to pick a backup without it, he better have some awesome physical advantages. Just being 22 doesn't mean a player will become a first grader after half a season.

No it helps me cope with the cosmic horror of human existence. My old man died of cancer. It happened nearly 12 months ago but only now can I laugh about it.

He wasn't dominant in his debut, he just brought effort and enthusiasm to a team that was lacking in it. That's why he stood out so much.
I like him though and think he will continue to improve.
