I don't think we're the same team we were three weeks ago. In fact, I think we haven't been as good since Round 6 and we have been on a bit of a downward slope since then. The salary cap and Foran stuff hasn't helped us that is for sure.

So the Dogs game, when we had nothing going our way and ended up winning was simply because of points being available and having something to play for.

You people amaze me, our season ended 3 Tuesday's ago, this team is defeated, everything has been taken from them.

Maybe some on here have never played a sport before because I know for a fact I would be mentally struggling when the going gets tough after all our points were taken.

The same shit we have dealt with this week happened before the Dogs game and we won. What is difference between now and then? Points were available.

Some of you need to wake up, and look outside the square.

I think this team is probably also missing Nathan Peats more than it cares to admit. I'm not sure Peats being moved on in general isn't also having it's effect on the players.

We have been mentally piss weak since Season 1987.

Whatever, don't deflect from the facts that up until that Dogs game 3 weeks ago, we were a footy team, with steel, great defensive attitude and knew how to grind wins.

If you wanna continue to be negative mate, go ahead, cause it doesn't help anything during this current state we are in.

Any other year, we would have been pummeled by the Dogs twice, lost to Manly at Brookvale and most likely copped 50 against the Broncos in round 1.

Said it all along that we should have kept him and played for no points this year. Get the cap in order over the off season. We went, as per usual, for the short term miracle fix.

I thought the Dogs were garbage that night. They played considerably worse that night than we did tonight.

The salary cap issue definitely deflated us, but the team that played in the first 6 rounds was up with the Top 2 teams in the comp. The team that played the next 3 weeks was not as good as the current Top 4 teams, this team obviously isn't even close.

Doesn't matter mate, from the second that game started the Dogs wanted it, they were hunger and would roll us over any other year, this year they didn't and much like the first Dogs game, shit or not we wouldn't win those games.

You keep harping on about round 6, you weren't impressed with that great win at Brooky?

Outside of the Broncos and Cowboys, ok and maybe the Storm and Sharks who is actually a good team?

Which means they did their job and our halves were garbage tonight.

We weren't able to get a roll on. Storm out wrestled us and were off side often. Our forwards also failed to stop their go forward. Don't lay blame solely on our halves.

Jarryd has more ability than Foran would ever dream about. He is the greatest Eel since Ray Price.

I must have been sleeping, because I never saw Hayne lift us to a premiership? :sarcasm:

Keep supporting a guy who believes his done it all, but never won a premiership. His nothing more then a dreamer. All the ability in the world but where did it get us.

I'd say we are a much better team without him, and from what I have heard he isn't the greatest team man, not someone you would wanna be in the trenches with.
