Probably the most important Derby for a few years (for us anyway). Need to maintain our late-season run towards the semis. Choppers and Kyle have had this one circled on the family calendar for a while now. Need to show AFB the bullet he dodged and give Atko a reality check as to the shambles he’s headed for. Us in golden point. Last week was too stress free. We’re overdue to shit ourselves as fans at game time as per usual.

How is the match day weather north of the Tom Ugly's.

I am a little bit confident about this one. If we play for the full 70 and not slow down after the half time break we should get the valuable two competition points on offer.

(( 2.56am kickoff 2012 Shark, noice effort. ))

It's been pissing down hard all night and it's still going now.

The Dargoons winning last week is probably the best thing to have happened for this game.
Take them lightly at your own peril.
A clinical defensive effort will win the game.

I wish I could be more excited..
The first 11 rounds, I was genuinely excited on game day…

THEN we played the under-strength Rorters and lost 4 out of 5 games.

Now, it just feels like we’re just playing out the matches until the inevitable fail.

Yours faithfully,
Debbie Downer… LOL

I dunno Blue….I’m the opposite. Maybe it’s the optimist in me but I feel like this is the most open comp in years and the inconsistency of most of the top teams as well as the lack of finals experience of the Dogs and Raiders in particular could work in our favour if we happen to get it right.

I get that, what a time it was. Dreadful.

I'll give you some advice, this is what I've been doing.
The last 4 rounds I've been paying more attention to our defence as opposed to the attack. Its harder on the TV than live but you can kind of get it.
Each week it has looked firmer and firmer.
I don't know if I'm right here, but to me it looks like Fitz has said after those 4 losses "f**k this. We are going to get our defence right, and nothing else matters until then"

I've been seeing and hearing all the egg-spurts talk of us being boring and dull games to watch. To me that makes me happy, as it means they are being trained to winning tough games.
Like I said, I could be very wrong, but at least it gives me an angle to watch the games with a positive note.

As someone said, OK out. BHU to start.
Billy Burns on the bench.
The only further change I can see happening is if DA gets replaced by H. Puru.
And that could happen because we'll be playing at the Carss Park Mudhole.
But psychologically Fitz may want DA there to play against his next year's team.
