Game day vs Knights

Knights converted their chances better than we did. If only Ryan held onto that ball from Kelly! A try then really would havbe made things interesting.

I agree that Tonga should have passed to Morgan, he would have scored for sure.

I still can't believe how Mullan and Naigama scored those tries

With some magic touches here and there, Kelly played a solid, steady game.
He's looking good thus far.
Let's see how he blossoms with Hayne back in the mix, Tonga off to Wenty
and Maroubra Eel still drooling over Miss April.

Yer I really can't see howSandow was good. He is very individual and only seems to get going when the game is over and when he can try low percentage plays hoping they come off.

I think the point is more playing better than us doesn't really take much effort.

Maybe so, but the Knights did show more urgency in defence for the majority of the game and took their chances in attack when they arose. I am simply acknowledging that we were beaten by a better team. It's hardly the Knights fault the Eels played a lacklustre game for 65 minutes.

I liked Luke Kelly's game tonight I thought he was pretty good.

I'm a Luke Kelly fan but he was missing for 70 mins tonight. He was bought to guide the team around the park and we were hopelessly directionless tonight. He can do a hell of a lot better.

It would be nice if a team would not play a near faultless second half against us for a change (minus the Pathers game).

If we pressured the opposition more they wouldn't be playing faultless halves.

I'm sure the bloke getting paid the big bucks wearing 7 was bought here to do that.. Give the kid a break. He's young, packed up and moved interstate and is playing his second game with a brand new team.

Some comments on tonights game:

-Burt is no longer a fullback and hasnt been for sometime, Mullaney should have been there.

- If a player deserves to go to NSW Cup its W.Tonga, give the F**king ball and Morgan score.

- Checin (or however you spell it) is the worst ref in the NRL by far.

- Its actually embarrassing how much our team relies on Hayne.

- B.Roberts needs to be 14, he is one of the only players who can run good lines, and Keating cannot cope with 80mins of football.

We haven't played for 80 minutes since...........probably 2010.

We have nothing in attack. Kelly has done more in two games than many other players.........that is a worry in itself.

Same old story. Mind you, the referees did help the Tinklers get over the line.

We are so far from an adequate football side it's absolutely embarrassing. Kudos for the brave souls who fronted up. The team is a mess. ... Ive watched the eels for over 40 + years and ive never seen them such a rabble. Poor old Chris Anderson must be double thinking what the hell he got into.

I suppose, but we are down on a bit of luck amongst many things. Those balls just keep rolling in the in goals and backs keep retrieving the irretrievable 40/20's. I would have loved to see a replay of that.

Exactly. Sandow seems to want the ball more and the rest of the team just seem to get into a habit of looking for him all the time.

Kelly can play a hell of a lot better than that. He is a wonderful player. Sandow is an instinctive runner not an organiser. Kelly needs to really bully them around and he will.
