Day Two Update

This should have been included in last night's update, but I missed it.

The peasantry went about their daily lives. They bought and sold, plowed and planted, lived and died. Meanwhile, their betters and the men who did their killing for them argued and squabbled over the ruins of the Seven Kingdoms.

"These are trying times," King Joffrey spoke with a smarmy grin, "But rest assured that I, King Joffrey, the First of my Name, am in firm control. The rebel claiming to be the King in the North has been put down. Stannis Baratheon cowers in his castle and soon we will put down these Iron Islanders like my father did before. There is no cause for concern. All is well!"

The crowd muttered and jeered. They did not love their King, and a few months of starvation had done little to win them over.

"Get him out of here now," Tywin urged his eldest son, "Take him to his chambers. I will be there to instruct him on the finer points of public address shortly".

Jaime Lannister sighed and nodded, gripping his son's arm and gently guiding him off the balcony and out of the crowd's sight.

Two more of the Kingsguard stood at the entrance to Joffrey's royal chambers.

"His highness is weary," Jaime informed them, "See that a woman is found to help him relax".

The two men nodded and exchanged knowing grins. Jaime sighed. His son's tastes ran considerably darker than those of even the Imp. If he kept using up whores the way he was, they'd need to employ somebody to go buy fresh ones from Braavos or Slaver's Bay. The whoremasters were only to happy to accept additional payment for damaged goods, but there were limits to their obsequiesness.

Unclipping his white cloak as he entered his chambers, Jaime sensed something was amiss. He spun and lifted his sword clumsily, only just turned away the overhanded blow that the scar faced man delivered.

"Clegane?" Jaime asked, "What on earth are you doing here?"

"What does it look like, Kingslayer? I'm here to carve out your sister-f**king heart".

Clegane was a seasoned warrior and fearsome strong, but under normal circumstances Jaime would have put the rabid dog down in short order. With his hand missing, he was hard-pressed to repel the Hound's ferocious storm of steel.

"Now, now, Dog," Jaime taunted, "You know better than most how we Lannister's treat those loyal to us. Stop this and all is forgiven. We'll get you a whore and some wine. My father will make you a rich man".

"Ha!" barked the Hound, "I'd rather make you a dead man".

Jaime grimaced as he felt himself being slowly, inexorably pushed back towards the open window and the dizzying fall to the streets of Kings Landing below.

"When I kill your whore sister," the Hound grunted, "I'll do it slow. I've always wanted to f**k a Queen".

Jaime felt strength surge into his tired muscles and, for a moment, he managed to push Clegane back with a flurry of blows. But his remaining hand was clumsy and unused to combat, and soon enough he was pressed against the sill with Clegane's hideously scarred face in his own.

"Clegane," he pleaded, "Please..."

"f**k you, Kingslayer," Clegane replied, shoving the Kingslayer from the window.

Parra Pride is dead. He was Jaime Lannister, House Lannister Aligned Kingslayer.

Anyone shed any light on what happened there?

Monk is a blond haired swordsman.

Loras Tyrell?
Brienne?

OK, now I get it. "This should have been included in last night's update, but I missed it."

Is it common for someone who is forced vote or force post to not be able to make more post after the fact?

Seems weird Baz did not know who Jamie was. Anyone who had seen 2 or 3 shows would think that was Jamie.

Also Mis, I clearly have two hands in the picture you used, I should have owned Clegane.

/dead

You have no idea how frustrating that update was to write.

1). Jaime is arguably my favourite character.
2). I'm working on a 15+ year old PC using IE from centuries ago. It deleted my entire post the first time, so I had to rewrite it from scratch. Finding images was a nightmare because the internet is pedal powered.

Bazal said he investigated Monk and it turned up with a character description of a swordsman with blonde hair. He might only get clues.

Could be Darkstar - if he is I have no idea of the alignment.

"Gerold Dayne has an aquiline nose, high cheekbones and a strong jaw. He keeps his face clean-shaven. He has thick silver hair that falls to his collar like a silver glacier, divided by a streak of midnight black."

I take it the consensus is that BunniesMan won't die properly until the right person kills him?
