Problem is I think he has tried to make a few changes (can't change the whole team) but some players like Douglas, Snowden, Smith, Toops who can and should be making an impact in both attack and defence just seem soft and un-interested

No I have not been happy. I saw this coming a while ago. The team has been lingering on the remnants of the Defense built up over 4 years that became formidable.
It seems those structure have now gone, in favour of promoting skill with the ball, to bring the crowds back supposedly & create a mythical sense of the team is becoming better.
the defenders are there, the defensive strategy isnt.
Flanno cant do anything else with these guys now.
