Scary thing is... some idiots here will STILL try to defend Elliott after that crap dished up today.

I'm not gonna defend him. I'm just saying if you think the only problem is the coach then IMO you're an idiot.

Worst talent in the NRL + Below par coach + Very poor management + Not attracting any decent FA talent = a season of hammerings.

Also, I think its funny heaps of the people criticisng Elliott are the ones that endorsed the youth first policy regardless of results. Our lineup is generally based around the youth movement this season, you've got to expect a lot of hammerings.

The youth being selected are not the ones everyone wanted selected!

Plus they should have been being selected LAST year, when there was little hope left in the season... so they might not be so raw now. It is NOT the worst talent, it is amongst the best coming up through the game. It IS the worst coaching and inability to bring them through on the part of the coach. Good luck Penrith!

I don't think juniors getting chucked into a losing FG side is the answer. We were hopeless at the end of last season, what good would thrashings of done for their confidence?? Just builds a losing culture IMO, we now have that anyway though. Management should be looking at the West Tigers as a case study for how to get through it.

Ugh. Disappointing end to what could have been a good win.

How a side concedes 46 points in the final 25 minutes is beyond me. Then again if Purtell scores rather than knocks on, who knows?

The massively worrying thing is that once we get behind, the heads go down and we just get steamrolled. And where the hell are the old guys to help the kids out! We can't expect Jones, Raston and Purtell to stem the tide when things go against us. Smith's been average and the others aren't pulling their weight to be honest.

Very depressing.

Ansat is NOT confimred as being out. Its only media speculation. Tonga was an omission from the Jets yesterday, and will slot onto the bench probably for Paea. He cant hold the ball, but he will dent your line.

I have it if Anasta doesnt play, Flannery will go to 5/8 and leave the ball playing to Soward. Some Raider....PLEASE PLEASE smash Finch into tomorrow week. Stuart doesnt have the balls to drop him.

Comrade Finchnikov turned the game the Roosters way with his quick thinking try to level the scores and then was an inspiration in the onslaught that followed including his magical play for the last try scored by mini.

wake up and get behind him and the team and stop your juvinial petty nonsense. i.e grow up!!!!!

Excuse me but 2006 is three rounds old!

We beat manly away.

And have had two brain explosions since.

We will be fine. Teams have come from early round floggings to win premierships.

Two brain explosions?!! What the! We have conceded 126 points in the last 2 games of which 82 points were scored in the 2nd half. Hardly call that brain explosions - just utter crap!

I believe that would be Tim Sheens.

89,90 and 94 anyone?

I think one positive we can take from the game was that the play in the first 50 minutes from us wasn't too bad at all... 20-10 on the Roosters home turf is a good effort.

God knows what happened in the final 30 :(

I think that's a bit harsh. You are talking about your juniors playing 1st grade, unless I'm mistaken most are rookies.Even Benji Marshall had an ordinary 1st grade debut.

It took Sheensy a few years to turn them round. Lets see how patient yous are when we have a new coach and initially struggle....

I dont have a problem struggling as long as it looks like we are heading into some sort of direction and cohesion.
I dont expect instant results with a new coach but I expect the new coach to at least have a decent game plan and skills to bring these youngsters up to be footballers.

What we have now is the tour guide for the Titanic!
