Under 3 hours to go before kick-off ...

imo this match will be a real test of the mental toughness required to win premierships

As much as is written that we have an inferior roster compared with some of the stronger clubs I dont think that makes us the automatic choice for the wooden spoon. We have some fine talent at the club that can match it with the best as was shown last week. Some of that talent has not made FG and some has been ill prepared when elevated to the top grade.

You will usually find that body contact sport is 80% perspiration and 20% inspiration .. get the latter part of the equation right and you can make for some deficiencies in the former.

Today will be a test of how well Elliott has prepared the side mentally ... something that has gone missing in about 30-40% of Elliott's coaching at the Raiders.

We need to not only win the match but win well.
GO THE RAIDERS !!!

yes, well summed up Bay

Can any other team in this competition back up their best game of the season with their worst the next week? That was totally fu@ked.

I was looking forward to a big crowd against the Broncs, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got less than 10K again. What a joke. That's why I don't care that all our "experience" is leaving next year, because if that's what it gets you then adios amigo. I'd rather be enthusiastic and sh*t than just sh*t.

The quicker Elliott leaves the quicker we can start rebuilding. Time for Zillman to get more game time, we need changes and that should be one of them.

I hope the big crash and burn was all part of Elliott's five year master plan because if it is, he has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams at ruining a club to the point of incompetency.

If any of the Raiders fans travelled up to tonights debacle, I'd be ringing the club and demanding a refund for the ticket price and the associated travel costs. Fans shouldn't have to put up with that sort of rubbish!

penelty count like 10000 - 2...but thats no excuse, we played like crap.

Carney needs to start and Withers to the bench..we had close to zero chance of scoring in the first 25mins...although you could say we had no chance all game.

I just can't see why Carney doesn't start. I just don't see what Elliott sees in Withers at 1/2. I just don't get it.

ohh c'mon ed .... Carney gives us depth and width ... the fact is when Carney is on we look a better side ... it's a f**king no brainer imo

... why give a side the chance to blow you off the park .. it should have happened last week but the dragons didnt take thier chances

we've now scored our first try ... after about 35 mins

the pity of this is that Chalk will be dropped next week and Howell in (as if Elliott needs an excuse to get his god son back in)

I agree he should start. I just don't think it would have had much of an effect tonight.

To be fair, Souths completed 19/19 in the first half. You're going to win more games than you lose with that kind of figure.

That is not to say that Canberra were anything but crap, but they didn't get the kind of dropped ball you'd normally hope for.
