Oh well what did everyone think ?

Its hard to work out where to start, so many things. As i just stated in another thread here was the fact that i wasnt pissed off or dissapointed we lost because i gave them no chance before we ran out and also with 10 to go being a long time tigers supporter i knew as sure as the sun will rise 2mora we would screw it up and be unable as always to lock up a close game and win.

1. The inability to stop pissweak on goal tries was seen yet again.

2. Benji cant kick for sh*t and nothing has been done to look at alternatives.

3. As mentioned above we are leading and cannot ever ever win them games.

4. Ayshford beat his man a few times to create an overlap but the winger wasnt there, still infield after another worthless run the forwards SHOULD have been making.

5. Our attack in the oppositions 20 is on par with the sharks these days ..wtf ! its just plain rubbish.

6. Kicking game is as always ..useless, cant say anymore.

7. a 50/50 ref call will always go against us when it counts... sorry chook supporters but there was no way mini didnt know Slow had dropped the ball and there was no way he didnt play the man and not the ball.

8. Should we change Lawence from centre ? he never gets any clear ball, he is just used as a battering ram out there, in attack would he be better on the wing to finnish of an overlap ?

9. The x factor, chemistry , balance, confidence , call it what u will is Gooooooooone. We started the year scoring from everywhere and anywhere, but we just look really disjointed now. Regargless of wether is was Lui or Molzt... it wasnt anything they actually did ,it could have been a witches hat playing half then .. Benji and our support play was on fire and now he is back to the old days of eratic rubbish .

Another close game and guess what WT cant put it away. Sounds familiar doesnt it. Same old reasons - Macnaz summed it up pretty well. We cant do much about ref's calls but we can about our own mistakes and omissions. Lets see what magical wizardry Teflon does for the team next week with selections and tactics or is the tank dry these years Mr Sheens and you are out of ideas?

The next 4 games after the bye is Souths, Newcastle, Warriors & Bulldogs. If we dont win those 4 (and all of them) there goes the season boys- placed in among the also rans in the later half of the season fighting for the scraps.

i agree,
in regards to changing laurence into a wing i tihnk we may find in the city country game as he is paired with jennings (who will often run infield for more ball) that laurence will be left on the wing so we may see how he plays there peronlly i can wait

I reckon it can be pinpointed to when we lost Moltzen- the musical chairs began and the losses mounted. Moltzen is not a star but he is the solid reliable platform on which others can shine when he is at half.

We still haven't recovered from when Marshall got run down by Turner without the ball, and we got a scrum feed instead of a penalty...

It's a simple fix, FIND A 7 and we'll be right!!! Stop playing everyone out of position. Farah is a brilliant hooker but a half he is not!!

I find it impossible to believe we have no viable options for 7. Moltzen is living proof that we don't need a thursten or johns at 7 to win games.

A simple solid player is all we are asking for. There has to be another choice. With all the players eligible, there simply has to be another choice.

you mean another 4 options'

2 is lui
3 is tomato ....both injured aswell

So yeah 4 options....how many clubs would have a good 4th choice halfback........none......

Our goal line defence was =great for the majority.

I can only assume Simmons did the half time talk because they came out in the second half looking confused and directionless. This is exactly the opposite of how we finished the first half

I never thought I'd say this but we really need Lui back.

Leoc is 47000000000000% correct all we need is a half to do 4 things.

1. Catch the ball from Farah
2. Pass to Benji
3. Kick
4. Tackle

Four things:

Lazarus can do 2 of the above (1 and 2)
Lui can do 3 (1/2/3) not sure how well though
Moltzen 4 out of 4
Waters - Not sure yet
Taumata - Deserves a shot in the 7.

The feeling at the ground after full time was as empty as a Honeymooner's b*llbag.

Such a pity, another game we will surely look back on in September.

It's time for Mullaney & Taumata to be given a crack. I reckon the following line up (if given time to gel) would make us consistent & genuine contenders:

1. Mullaney
2. Tuquiri
3. Ayshford
4. Lawrence
5. Ryan
6. Marshall
7. Lui
13. Fulton
12. Heighington
11. Ellis
10. Galloway
9. Farah
8. Gibbs

14. Taumata
15. Fafita
16. Flanagan
17. Payten

That team looks pretty solid though I would have Mullaney on the bench, Tomato 7, lui out, Ryan at the back and anyone but fitz on the wing.

My 2 cents worth.

1/ Roosters were very poor. Defended well but were pretty attrocious overall. So what does that say for us ?
2/ Roosters didn't have to worry about our dummy half (fulton). Just concentrate on the 1st and 2nd receiver. Job made easy. Alot of our attack comes from Farah at 9 and that was nullified. Farah, just stick to 9 and stop getting an ego and think you can play 7 better than 9. He asked Shames to play 7.
3/ Agree very much on Point # 4. Fitzy the dumb f**k, runs as far as the other side of field to do his little pussy runs. Stay on your wing. We had overlaps on occasions and Fitzy is nowhere to be seen. f**k me dead.
4/ Fafita is a shining light.
5/ Where the f**k was Flanagan. He and Shames musn't get along. Something's doing.
6/ Waters looked okay to me, despite the knock on. Again, couldn't do much with the time he had.

Overall analysis.....f**k me.
