Prop Tanner Stowers-Smith becomes the latest of the One New Zealand Warriors’ home-grown new breed to make his debut while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck starts on the wing in today’s round 11 NRL match against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium (3.00pm kick-off local time; 5.00pm NZT).

The late changes confirmed by head coach Andrew Webster an hour before kick-off see Kurt Capewell reverting to the centres after being listed in the second row in the updated lineup at the 24-hour deadline.

That in turn brings Marata Niukore back into the second row after being switched to the interchange last night with 21-year-old Stowers-Smith brought onto the bench after being listed as 19th man in the revised squad.

With Tuivasa-Sheck on the wing, where he started the season in the first three rounds, fill-in winger Taine Tuaupiki is moved to 19th man.

Balmy late Autumn day with 22C expected at kickoff with little to no wind.

Won't be catching this one live as daughters netball on then off to Syndey for Liverpool carnival tomorrow. Late night viewing for me.
Hope for a good win, but 3 away games is a lot.

2 no tries off kicks -1 for each side. decisions marginal but probably correct for each by Ms Badger

Vaumaga off for HIA. Shannon Stowers-Smith gets his debut.

Good try after constant pressure in their 20 by Niukore 10minutes before halftime. 4-0. Conversion was easy but missed.

Huge robbery of a try just before halftime by Capewell. Was the sun in the officials eyes? Blatant knockon by RTS in our 20. go the length of the the field with a brilliant Metcalf chip and gather and pass to Capewell. Returning the favor from a few games back.

RTS 2 errors already. very rusty.

10-0 Metcalf missed the easy one. kicked the hard one.

Penalty count is 8-2 to the Warriors.

HT 10-0

Brilliant take from a contested goal line kick by Laban takes the Warriors to 14-0 after putrid backline play by the Warriors for 30minutes.
conversion is over. 16-0
If this was the NFL we’d have had the defensive team on full-time. The Hammer finally cracks us with 7 min left but Capewell and Pompey have been impregnable otherwise.
