It's a bit off topic but WI just beat Australia 2-1 in an u/19 series played in Dubai. There are some very good youngsters coming through the system, and hopefully they are developed properly in order that they realise their potential at the senior level.

Real shame that Afridi has yet again ruled himself out of another Test series.

No reason why he wouldn't be an effective Test player

His bowling has improved out of sight since he was last a Test regular, he could easily hold a spot down in the side as a bowling all-rounder

Add Jerome Taylor to the list of greedy little shits who put money before country

Saw him playing IPL last night

I still think that Kraigg Brathwaite is the next big thing after watching him in the 2010 u19 world cup. This guy will become an all-time great imo.

well they lost the series 3 - 2 but Lendl Simmons was a massive stand out 279 runs from 5 innings with four 50s, and a HS of 77 NO.... and hes only 26 so thats another good thing for WI

A team for ODI would be

1. Gayle
2. Barath
3. Simmons
4. Darren Bravo
5. Sarwan
6. Pollard
7. Thomas (WK)
8. Dwayne Bravo
9. Bishoo
10.Taylor
11. Roach

Anyone i missed?
But i wouldn't mind seeing that team roll out for a tour

What has Dinesh Ramdin done so wrong, that he's now behind both Baugh and Thomas as preferred keeper?

Don't think I've ever seen him drop a catch and while his batting isn't anything special, it's better than the other candidates

Thomas can bat and he has safe hands, but either him or ramdin can do the job id have both of them in front of baugh..... did i miss out on any of the bowlers as i feel ive missed one?

West Indies rolled Pakistan for 160 in the first innings after posting 226. Bishoo took 4 wickets on debut and even the useless DJ Sammy chimed in with 2 wickets.

I hope Devon Smith is dropped for the next test but I doubt that's going to happen until Barath recuperates fully from his injury. Another option would be Kraigg Brathwaite, the u19 prodigy who blitzed Australia in the recent youth series.

Been saying it for a while, Kemar Roach is the best young fast bowler in the world. Very Very impressive bowler I think.

The Windies could field a very decent bowling line-up if all players were available.

My choice would be:

Edwards, Roach, Taylor, Bishooo with Benn, Rampaul and Russell waiting in the flanks. Unfortunately, captain DJ Sammy is assured a place in the team, notwithstanding his failure to contribute with the ball and bat.
