I used to joke about Thommo's boof head and his dropping of the ball, but in his last two seasons with us he was outstanding and he was like the "heart of the team". I didn't think his leaving would be as noticable as it has been, and yes, I miss the big boofhead too.
Seeing him play against us was strange, just didn't seem right, but if you make your bed, you lay in it.
The situation was never going to be one that was acceptable to all, but even ardent critics would acknowledge the fact that the Dragons are not as potent a force without him. :( #-o

Im a Tigers supporter (not a bandwaggoner unfortunately sorry guys, I was with them when we used to applaud winning the toss and when it was less work for the ground announcer to announce crowd changes than team changes!) and after seeing what you guys are going through Im so glad that Prince decided to leave us early in the year, pissed off as I was at the time, and still am, all of this destabilising starting from Thompson and right through to Barret and now Gaz HAS to affect a team.

'success starts in the front office' may have been said by a scummer (to u guys) but never a truer word spoken.

I hope Gasnier stays in League and with the Dragons - it wouldn't look right if he played anywhere else (and I don't support you guys). He is a great player and NSW/Australia need his desperately.

The Rugby deal includes a lot of bonus' for representing - it would be a brave man who wouldn't think that Gaz wouldn't be one of the first picked for any rep team - but injuries can always happen.

I hope Saints keep him - but shouldn't get any support from the NRL or outside forces to do so. It was the same deal with the other players who went - Mat Rogers carries a name that is pretty important to the League world as well and no assistance was offered - nor should it have been.

I hope he signs with you guys and soon - once things are stable with Barrett and Gasnier I think you guys will play your best footy.

Don't let reality get in the way of a good fantasy there guys 750k pfffft, try more like 400k + 100k (third party arrangement that doesn't count towards the cap).

Gaz is a better 400k investment than Baz ever was.

p.s the only club that would be desperate or stupid enough to offer any player 750k in the current environment would be South Sydney.

And they'd still get turned down.

Last weekend the coach said he'd be out for a week . But he was named on Tuesday night, so we'll see what happens.

And Preacher, don't pick on Fuddy now... he was just having a bad day.

They may have to wait two years to use him. He has a very bad cold apparently, can't stop sniffing, and doesn't want too. :)

If guilty of the charges, Wendell will be relegated to the billy-cart level of competitive sport.

According to a Fox article I read this morning, the NRL and the ESL are signatories to the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Article here.

If his efforts on-field are any pointer to his pugilistic prowess I would like to reserve the soles of his boxing shoes as advertising space. :)
