Interesting to name such a big squad, five months out from the matches...

Presumably some guys still force their way in, or come back from injury eg O'Loughlin?

Why do they name it now?

Why not later in the season, unless they want to play a test match or something

That is the long term ambition of the GB management. I'd guess that, given the clubs' hostility to mid-season rep football, getting to work with the players is the best that Noble could manage. At least it establishes the principle of clubs releasing the players mid-season and that is a considerable advance.

GB team manager Phil Clarke says they will soon establish a competitive game for the side, played half-way through the year, which will hopefully be in place for future seasons.

Lucky to be included:
Paul Johnson - offers nothing
Kris Radlinski - finished
Matt Diskin - should have to prove himself again
Danny Ward - not up to it

Unlucky not to be included:
Richard Mathers
Malcolm Alker
Andy Coley
Paul Cooke

O'Loughlin & Hock won't be back this year, both had knee reconstructions
:(

Cheers Jason,
Bummer for both to cop injuries so early in the season that put them out for so long.
