GB's New Shirt

I liked the hoops. Am pretty sure the V only came into things a fair way in, like the 1930s or something?

Still can't believe they won't have the new strip ready for the test and on sale at the ground, or in shops the day after... lost opportunity if you ask me.

Jersey looked alright on the players last night to me. Still not a big fan of white shorts, but hey...

shirt looked good last night, and an all white kit id the bestway to go.
Hope they bring out a special edition for the Northern Union game against the Kiwis.

I don't know what they wore for the home series in 1908, but this site (http://www.andysav.free-online.co.uk/history.htm) suggests that for the 1910 NU/GB southern hemisphere tour they wore "red and white hooped shirts for this first tour, with black shorts and socks".

heres albert baskerville,look at the lace up jersey..

when the french rugby union team celebrated their centenary a couple of years ago they wore a "vintage" shirt against the all blacks...

Imagine wearing lace-up jerseys in this era... a player could be choked in tackles and scrums.
