I dont understand how people can not only be so carefree about downloading movies and music but also get the sh*ts when artists say something against it.

Its just outright stealing.

Simmons has always been about the money, this doesn't surprise me one bit.

The sooner music artists adopt Radiohead's approach to album releases the better.

Yeah it would be good if more artists do what some bands do, i remember downloading a song or album or something from Offsprings website think it was for the conspiracy of one album. It is good they embraced it.

But that doesn't give right to illegally download stuff of bands who haven't embraced it.

Also on older artists and bands. I was at the Crowded House concert on Saturday Night and even though they've put out 2 albums since they reformed the majority of the songs they played were their "classics" So that suggests to me that whilst promoting new material maybe on the agenda though for a concert people still wanna hear the songs they have known for years performed live. Plus they had a bit of fun with things in the process.
