You do wonder if it was a one time thing. Kind of dumb to get on it before what is likely the biggest game of his career for the 1st time
He was a bag of nerves against the Roosters.
Looks like he chose the wrong option.

Same. Well that, if proven, explains a lot.
Wonder if Penrith had won the grand final would it have been stripped due to Naden. They rate coke a performance enhancing drug, pretty sure that Olympic medals have been taken back from teams due to drug infringements.
With all the education players get each and every year no excuse.
If taken he was always always going to get caught.
I've spoken before about the fishbowl life players endure. I get that. But you do the crime you do the time.
They stood by May, and we know what he did, the same could apply here.Damn it, can we have a pre-season that isn't a cluster**** plz?
This latest revelation should mean the end of Nadan with us. There were rumours that he didn't really get along with most of the squad - now his standing within the squad and also with staff would be even more diminished. We can't have a player around who drops the morale of the organisation.
This is a pity because despite his limitations as a player he is still a starter for us.
I was thinking the same thing. It more than likely confirms why he wasn’t used in the Preliminary Final against Souths.
This. There is no way in hell he's allowed to play, off the bench or starting, if this was known. If the club suspected he was on drugs, enough to keep him out of the Souths game, why would they play him in the GF?
I don’t think the two are related at all.

What makes you think that? The big difference here is that it appears most of the squad and staff like May. Naden not so much. MAy stuffed up on a personal level - Naden on a Professional level that may have had on field consequences. How do you trust a player like that in your ranks?
I don't. Naden knows the protocol and he broke it. If suspended, this may end his career. The Naden positive drug test was really the last thing the club needed given post GF has been a challenging period for us trying to get our roster and cap sorted going forward.
Such a shame, the Brent Naden story was a real positive and feel good story given his return to the club, making his NRL and for the most part doing really well on the field.
While I don’t support the taking of so called recreational drugs and or any other form of performance enhancing drugs I hope the club stands by him.
Brent has made a huge mistake but hopefully it does not end his career and he learns from it and bounces back.
