Lolz , noJust watched a 1986 penalty goal from Balmain that scored from 55 metres..
I have a question. From kick off is the ball went over the posts is it a goal?
No but I'd like to know why teams never try and hit the posts from kick-offs. I get that it's a bit harder to defend if they get the ball in the middle but it has to be worth a crack occasionally.Just watched a 1986 penalty goal from Balmain that scored from 55 metres..

This is why I prefer the footy from the 90sI think its a defence thing. Kick to one corner and your left or right side knows they are taking the first tackle and need to be ready. Also to avoid a certain playing taking it up off the back fence.
Though teams now play quite expansively. Your whole defensive line has got to be alert.
In the early 70's I watched Eric Sims kick 2 from half way after the Panthers kicked out on the full twice in succession. That was the old leather ball.I have an older mate who swears that there was a time that was the case. Apparently, it was far harder to do with the old balls though!?! I think he has a faulty memory.
Twice so far*To'o won the Brad Fittler medal for the second time in 2 years. Hayne won it 3 times but To'o the only one to win it twice!!
Where's the vomit reaction button?Google Nathan Cleary and tell me the first image that pops up.
I get Cleary in a Wallabies jumper -_-

Everything is harder with old balls, I’m 78 and believe you me they are hard to shift when you sit down.I have an older mate who swears that there was a time that was the case. Apparently, it was far harder to do with the old balls though!?! I think he has a faulty memory.
