Hate is too heavy to carry around, I’ll let others do that. I can manage ridicule and derision though. Happy Christmas everybody!

I also would like to take this opportunity to thank the England cricket team for making sure the cricket is a short as possible.

RIP Warren Smith.

If you’ve had anything to do with the St Mary’s footy club over the passed 30-40 years, you will have run into him.

He was a great mate to many and a personal mentor of mine. He was such a good listener and would quite often fix a problem without even commenting on it.

I’ve not had a chance to see him in a couple of years, but he’ll be sorely missed.

I'm late to the party here, (sorry). I hope everyone survived Christmas. I know for many it's a horrible time, having to deal with ex's, relatives you dislike and it often brings up horrible memories from Christmas's past.

Personally my Christmas was pretty quiet. A visit to cousins in the morning. A light (easy) lunch prepared by me for my brother and I. Then a short drive and visit with another set of cousins.

There was both joy (watching my little grandson) open his presents (from me) via a video link....(they live far away)

and of course the ever present (when family celebrations happen) sadness about the estrangement of my eldest daughter and her family of husband, 3 grown grandsons....the eldest was 20 on the 24th of December. I've not seen them (either in the flesh or photo) since Christmas 2017. Even though you don't want it to it still hurts.

I hope that everyone 'managed' Christmas to the best of their ability.....

Take care.

Merry Christmas Alice.

I don't know your story, nor do I need to know, but for me, in my opinion, anyone who restricts any type of access to children/grandchildren, be it a visit or even a short phone call, probably just to prove a point, is not just vindictive and spiteful, but borderline evil.

Obviously if court orders are involved it's a different story, but just to be difficult is out and out wrong.

Have a good new year.
