There would still be criminal gangs even if drugs were legal. there would still be protection rackets et al.

Those who somehow choose to condone the use of prohibited drugs miss the whole point in this debate.

Those in society who purchase prohibited drugs such as cocaine, there are others, are empowering Middle Eastern and OMCG who largely control the drug trade.

Somehow making any comparison to partaking in the use of alcohol which is legal is simply flawed in the extreme.

For the most part the murder and mayhem around the organised crime and drug trade involves them neutralising each other, so I don’t lose too much sleep when another scum bag is murdered but that is not to say there are not many, many victims of the drug scourge who die from overdoses or related health issues.
