We need to sign them both long term as soon as possible, best young front rowers in the game. With the money spare from Asotasi and Crocker leaving we should easily have the money to keep them. Anyone know if the club is talking with them about new deals?

of course the club would want to extend their contract periods , however they have to come up with the right deal and i am sure that their manager is not in hurry to get them signed as their form continues. The longer they delay the more interest from other clubs , so Souths have to get the right deal at the right time. No point putting deals on the table that get rejected or worse giving them signing ultimatums that forced Benji out of the Tigers.
good thing sometimes take time.

Isaac would be too small to play 8.

And he's doing a good job at hooker, why change?

You missed the hyphen...

But if Isaac changes his surname to Luke-Burgess, isn't there a big risk the roosters will try sign him?

As good as George is and Tom to a Lesser extent 21st century football is all about the spine.

Sign Keary up first, thats your 1,6,7 & 9 locked up for the next 3-5 years. Then sign George and anyone else after that can like it or lump it.

Just make sure you leave enough to lock Apisai Koroisau up.

I agree with this.

If you look at teams like Melbourne and any of the teams coached by Bennett, they always have a bunch of no frills forwards.

The spine is generally first class, but the pigs are most often a bunch of nobodies who just do a job.

Bennett is renowned for not paying big money for forwards and so is Bellamy. In fact, Bennett has been quoted on numerous occassions as saying that he won't spend big money on his pack.

Look after the spine and the rest will look after itself.
