Just wondering if any of you blokes would be going to watch any of the Schoolboys matches and would be prepared to throw in a bit of a match report for those of us interested but far away?
Sorry dude, the games are all up north.

Wakefields Academy wiped the floor with the rest of the league a year ago, they tore Wigan, Leeds, Sts and Cas to shreds but not one single Trinity player made the rep squads!
must have to play for a top superleague side like the senior team altho that did change a little this yrWakefields Academy wiped the floor with the rest of the league a year ago, they tore Wigan, Leeds, Sts and Cas to shreds but not one single Trinity player made the rep squads!

What age group is this touring team? as Widnes are throwing a few under 21's in aswell.
Also just heard the ozzies got beat by France 23-16 at Villefranche.

i find it very surprising that widnes has the best under 20's team when they arent even in super league! how is this possible? surely all of the best juniors are signed up to super league teams?
not sure who selects this team as there are no props and not one player from the best academy team this yr widnes, probably a wigan coach with a wire assistant.also theres no need to pick two welsh lads really
I find it amazing that the English have no warm up game to blow away the cobwebs whilst the Australians were apparently very good against Wales and have two more lead in games to come.
Widnes don't have an Under 20s team?
It's quite simple. Widnes don't play in an Super League Under 20s league so leave all their top Under 18s in the Under 18s academy team because its a better standard that the Championship Reserve League. This helps them look better than they actually are.
The top Under 18s from Super League clubs are playing in the Super League Under 20s competition by now, they've moved on from the Under 18s.
The vast majority of that squad are already beyond Under 18s level, some have even made first team level!
I'd also say that Widnes went full pelt at the Under 18s this year to make themselves look good for licence applicaitons. It wasn't really as important for Super League sides.
Don't get me wrong, Widnes did superb at Under 18s level but if they were doing well in the Super League Under 20s and Academy Under 18s then it would give a truer reflection.
ps. AIS hammered Wire 44-6, next up Widnes on monday
George is pretty much confirmed to play 20s with Souths. Anyone got any reports on him and how he plays etc..
He's massive. Yet to make his ESL debut so it's hard to say how he would go really because he's bigger than most of the kids in the reserves. From reports he's more of a natural front-rower than his brother though.George is pretty much confirmed to play 20s with Souths. Anyone got any reports on him and how he plays etc..
