Given that our current roster is full of either :
1) mediocre players lured to the club with a contract that far exceeds their value as a player, based on their history
2) promising juniors who make no progress because the encumbent coach doesn't have the nous or has no faith in them
3) career reserve graders
I would think that it's inevitable that we make him an (inflated) offer.
I just can't decide whether he would be a category 1 or 3.
Then we could let the likes of Ford, Timm, Host or Leluia go to a club with a coach who can get the best out of them and spank our ar$e$ two or three times a year.

I'm pretty sure Josh signed with the dogs for 09 before ANZAC day in 2008 simply because he was behind Matt Cooper for the left centre position.

I'm sure Wayne has umpteen opportunities he is considering and Burgess does not measure up to any of them when consideration is given to price and talent. SGI on the other don't have a prop in our sights at the moment.

I could live with signing G Burgess if the price is right. I say this because I think the likes of Vaughan, Frizell, Sims and possibly Graham would be a good influence on him. He certainly can run straight and hard and on his day is a good strong defender.
