What happened to RCG? 30th June passed and no news. I see he was named as a reserve for Penrith this weekend.
He needs to be told by Penrith to find another club before Millward even takes a look at him; remember easy signings are the preference for Millward.

Better get a quote direct from Dyson!
A smart Board would hire Gould to do the job for them. I have no doubt he would quickly clean out the deadwood, including our coaching staff, and then work with a new coach to recruit some serious talent.

OK, I'll step into the ring and say, why not hire Gould as General Manager Football and let him take on the head coach job for 12 months, with Barrett and JD as his assistant coaches. Clean out the dead wood and then appoint a head coach in the final quarter of season 2020.

Makes too much sense to come true.

Nope. If we do that, we won’t have enough to extend Latimore and Allgood. Can’t have that.
I had a brief look at Penrith site to see their take on RCG saga. Someone posted, apparently seriously that they should have a go for Latimore. He might have a blinder next week to up his price?

I believe that the Cowboys are about to make an offer to Georgie, apparently their coach Paul Green believes that he and MacQuire would make a matching pair of eye gouges for his front row . . . Oops  I mean a matching pair of bookends .

For the right price, I would take George Burgess. Earlier in the year, I heard that he was asking around 800K. That is way too much. For 500K yes.

I'm sure Wayne has umpteen opportunities he is considering and Burgess does not measure up to any of them when consideration is given to price and talent. SGI on the other don't have a prop in our sights at the moment.

I could live with signing G Burgess if the price is right. I say this because I think the likes of Vaughan, Frizell, Sims and possibly Graham would be a good influence on him. He certainly can run straight and hard and on his day is a good strong defender.
As a realist I do realise we are probably a 1000 to 1 of getting another quality signing in the near future. I have considered however that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise and a player who would otherwise not be available does pop up. Obviously George MAY be available due to abhorrent on field behaviour BUT one thing I’m thinking is that impact forwards of his quality are rarely in our range. I also think Graham would have a very good rapport and influence on George. I think bookends of Vaughan and George with the quality of our other forwards is mouthwatering and could fit into our cap if go with less experienced young backs, etc Saab, Sailor who would not be expensive signings

Imagine those two as bookends - the opposition wouldn’t see them coming.

George Burgess really???
Butter fingered (didn't know tears were so greasy) oaf like, brain dead, over rated footballer if ever there was one.
He is the Trevor Chappell or Dean Waugh of the Burgess family.
