They were always depth possible fallback signings though. Not in the same category as. Su’a, Suli and Molo imo.
fallback signings generally play in reserve grade and cover your first grade team whenever there's an injury. This mob of dad's army have been playing first grade week in and week out. The team has decided that this mob is the best we've got.

100% agree with you Lindsay Moss.
It was very noticeable last week against the Roosters.
All enthusiastic for about five minutes then nothing. Cant seem to defend laterally after a only a short time.

So sad that George is not likely to be part of our squad from now on. I had high hopes for him to be one of the stars of the new recruits but unfortunately not the case as with several others who we signed for 2022. Anyway, they are the breaks and we continue on our journey to who knows what?

Thanks getsmarty.

When some players have lots of time on their hands, instead of wasting money on gambling on the horses, sporting games, pokies, casino etc., they should spend more time enjoying the company of family and friends and maybe helping out with the other players at training and other things.

In saying this, I hope that George's rehab has been going well and his head will be back on track to play a few more games for us, because we will need him.

I've been disappointed with Su'A. He doesn't break the line much.
Suli is a big loss because of his injury and he has been good for us but the other new signings for this year have generally been fair. Going for the types of guys like Woods, Maguire, McCullough, Burgess etc to me were to make up the numbers. Why can't the Dragons go out and sign up big, hard running and younger islander guys so that our forwards put fear in the opposition for a change.

Sorry hit like by mistake i actually think Molo has been a bit underwhelming this year seems to run out of steam quickly.
Yes, for me it seems that the whole squad needs to be conditioned better. Maybe with a new fitness team for next season, we may do well.

It is hard to see why we are sailing close to our limit under the salary cap.
1. Ramsey and Sloan are cheap as chips fullbacks.
2 Wings Ravalawa and Matt Feagai, would have to be very economically priced.
3. Suli and Lomax are priced on average salary at 500k each.
4. Hunt and Amone would work out to be the average price of halves when you combine their salary.
8. Sims is overpriced at 800k (200k overs) But Burns on 300k brings that back into budget. However, Bird at 650k takes us over the budget.
9. McCullough would have to be a saving at 300K.
10. Props Molo (600k), De Belin (750K), and Lawrie (450k) are brought into budget with some cheep props Woods, Burgess, Alvaro, etc.

Hopefully, we let go all of the deadwood and replace them with young juniors. This should leave us with enough cap to buy a couple of top first-grade props.
