34th minute of manly v dogs. Grubber kick put through to the corner. Hopoate covers and goes low to secure the ball and Taufua running through makes no attempt to get down to the ball and runs his knees in to hopoate.

Now Mamo got suspended for a near identical circumstance whilst defending. Taufua was attacking, but made no attempt to play at the ball. At least Mamo was trying to get down under the player to save the try.

We will see if the NRL (I'm already laughing as I type this) has any consistency in the calls.

Of course we know what will happen, nothing. Time will tell.

You would have to be annoyed if you were Mamo. The Knights should get all Pauline Hanson on the NRL and ask them to explain the reason why there was no citing for Taufua!

My internet is crap so consequently the quality of streaming from the NRL site is crap or id screen capture the two incidents for direct comparison. If anything, Taufua's was worse as Mamo was trying to prevent a try by getting himself down under the player, Taufua didn't even attempt to get down to the ball and ran straight in to Hopoate with his knees.
